Named after the patron saint of Cote d'Or in the Burgundy region of France, St Vincent was adopted in early medieval times as a patron saint by vineyard workers and winemakers in France and most of Europe. During January, St Vincent of Saragossa, is honored throughout Europe with celebrations and prayers, lots of ceremonial stuff, and wine tasting.
